Finally can put this piece down! This was a very experimental piece that went through massive amount of style explorations and edits. I also majorly re-drew the center man (柳革異 Liu Ge Yi) 13 times because I composed it before I gave him a expression sheet.
This piece is meant to capture the feel of my story Sunshine Through the Willow Tree 柳暗花明之時, which I've been working on since 2017. It's a tale of a human warlord's mysterious rise in power amongst 5 kingdoms governed by the demi-gods. It is a story of regret, tragedy and salvation.

I composed this piece after hearing the song Ambition by Joker Xue
The song instantly reminded me of some of my characters' inner voices.
