Obsession

Acrylic painted on 8 layers of resin

I had so much fun and learned so much with this bowl. I'm so fortunate to be able to work on projects that allow me to take the time to explore. This is also one of the rarer projects where most of the process was done on stream.

The subject was the necromancer and his obsession. I wanted to paint him observing her in a crystal bowl, and wanted to be creative with the layering. While the crystal ball supposedly is in the foreground, I painted her on the very bottom layer to depict her being inside of the crystal.

I was honestly very nervous about how it would end up. I'm glad I stuck with it.

I also wanted to play with the glow in the dark paint again, which was a royal pain in the ass BUT worth the effort at the very least to experiment. I learned a lot.
