Seven Sins

What is your sin?

It’s been a long while since the last time I did an original piece for myself. So many things got in the way of this painting that I almost gave up on it several times. Yet, it’s such a personal piece to me, that I felt the need to see it through.
The masks represent the 7 sins: Sloth, Gluttony, Pride, Envy, Wrath, Lust and Greed. This painting was an outlet for my struggles, particularly with Wrath and Envy, and a desire for peace within myself.
Lotus flower symbolizes purity and innocence, a divine state we were born in but gradually clouded by temptations.

May it never wither.
